Oh...DOUGH-on! You know you want to try Quest's Choc Sprinkled Doughnut!

You know, it's actually hard to think of a flavour Quest HAVEN'T done at this point.

From longstanding bestsellers like Choc Chip Cookie Dough through equally safe, nutty staples like Chocolate Peanut Butter, desserty delights like S'mores, Pumpkin Pie and Rocky Road and even more niche, fruity offerings like Blueberry Muffin and Lemon Cream Pie (RIP)...yep, from Banana Nut Muffin to Birthday Cake we thought we'd seen pretty much every sweet-treat one could imagine made guilt-free by California's #CheatClean kings.

How FOOLISH were we?! I mean, come on, how can you do a Birthday Cake without a Sprinkled Donut? How did we miss that?! Sorry guys...we thought we were better than that!!

Haha...all this is to say that Quest Nutrition, alongside the many virtues offered by their bars, certainly epitomise flavour choice and variety; whilst every Quest bar offers, broadly speaking, the same awesome ingredients - premium whey protein, veggie-friendly, gluten-free and often all-natural, too! - and amazing low carb, super low sugar nutritionals, the guys have made the much-loved, legacy format work HARD, and it was only a matter of time before they tackled the current donut-flavour trend Quest-stylee!!

...and we're not complaining!! Especially as we're promised SPRINKLES right there on the gorgeous, striking *pink* wrapper! 

So, how did they do? Well, Chocolate Sprinkled Doughnut picks up where Quest's (impressively sweet) coated Birthday Cake bar leaves off; the icing has transformed into an almost dark chocolate, just on the right side of bitter, perfectly balancing out the sweetness of the 'doughnut' centre and the sparks of sweetness offered by the (in this case) real, crunchy, sprinkles (sadly no chunks here though, folks! Soz)

The bar's body? Firmer than that of the Birthday Cake but satisfyingly chunky, the heady vanilla has been replaced with something richer and a touch...spiced? It's pretty unique and a tricky one to describe; in no way is there a taste of butter or dough but, maybe...just maybe...that of toasted pastry. Just the tip. ;-)

Less Chocolate Donut and more Chocolate Birthday Cake, this gorgeous bar still takes you on a great-tasting and fun 'quest' - fans of the Birthday Cake will LOVE it! - and is a welcome addition to the burgeoning Quest Bar range!!
